Artwork from applications not listed should be exported as EPS or PDF. These files must successfully load into Photoshop, Illustrator or Quark in order to guarantee the best quality for production.

Receiving Digital Media

1 Files that are 5 meg and under can be emailed.
2 Files that are larger than 5 meg and smaller than 25 meg can be uploaded to our FTP site, mailed or delivered. Contact us for FTP information.
3 Files larger than 25 meg should be mailed or delivered.




Document Setup

1 Graphics with photos only are set up in Photoshop. Any file manipulations are done as layers and layers included.
2 Graphics containing logos, copy or line art (with or without photos) are set up as vector or page-layout file in one of the listed software applications. Raster elements, if any, are linked (not embedded) and are included.
3 Images are place as low-res files and the originals are included for scanning and placement.
4 Multi-panel graphics are on one page, not separate pages.
5 Bleed approximately 1/2" at final size on all sides on all of the graphic.
6 Height and width proportions are scaled exactly to the required graphic dimensions.
7 Convert text to lines or send type fonts.

Color Management

1 Originate raster files and elements are set up in Colormatch RGB color space. Files not originated are not converted from their original color space.
2 Color corrections to files, if any, are made on adjustment layers, which are included.
3 PMS colors, if any, are specified according to the desired PMS number from a new Pantone book.

Raster File Resolution

1 Files resolution is calculated at final output size, allowing for the document scale.
2 High-resoulotion images are scanned (NOT INTERPOLATED) to the required size.
3 Resolutions are in the range of 100 - 150 dpi at final size

Final Steps

1 Provide files on one of the listed media. Test by opening files on the media to verify that they are not corrupted.
2 Print a directory of all files including supporting files. Do not send extraneous files that are not needed for production.
3 Convert text to lines or send type fonts.
4 Include a proof in an Adobe Acrobat PDF document formatted to print on 8-1/2" x 11".



Graphic Policies

1 Design Charges: Exhibit Resources Midwest will charge an appropriate rate for conceptual design, layout and artwork preparation.
2 Royalty Free Images: Royalty free images are the property of Exhibit Resources Midwest when purchased by us for use in a clients composition. We reserve the right to use royalty free images owned by Exhibit Resources Midwest.

On request, the rights can be transfer from Exhibit Resources Midwest to the client. At that time Exhibit Resources Midwest will no longer be responsible for the digital files. After the transfer, it is the clients responsibility to read and follow the licensing agreement as stated by the source of the original purchase.
3 Reuse Fee : A client can purchase original graphic compositions created by Exhibit Resources Midwest for reuse on promotional items, literature, signage, etc. A one time fee of 50% of the original commissioned work price will be billed for the right to reuse the graphic.
4 Intellectual Property: All designs and concepts created by Exhibit Resources Midwest are the property of Exhibit Resources Midwest exclusively. Any unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.
