JOHN
DEERE AG MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS "LOBBIES" EXHIBIT RESOURCES MIDWEST
FOR A NEW LOOK
The name John Deere
is synonymous with excellence in agriculture.
Deere's Ag Management Solutions division needed a high-tech, cutting
edge lobby display geared to captivate a visitor's attention,
yet remain faithful to the John Deere tradition.
Jennifer Pedrotty, Marketing Communications Coordinator for John
Deere AMS, knew she wanted something that would match the existing
lobby décor of rich browns and be bright enough to draw people
to the display to entertain and inform them as they waited.
"John Deere AMS was looking for an innovative way to display product
information as well as communicate the global presence of our
products and customers," says Pedrotty.
ERM designers took a multi level approach, combining Octanorm's
brushed aluminum framing with Wilson Art's rich Gunsmoke laminate
for the framework. Four 16" x 20" back-lit transparencies provided
the light source. The transparencies attach magnetically and are
easily changed and updated.
Touchpad Technology was added to the 36" big screen TV to further
enhance the information process. A repeating loop video plays
video clips describing different products in the John Deere line.
Behind the scenes is a Crestron Control System processor along
with a Pioneer Professional series DVD player to provide high
quality video playback. Audio is provided through a pair of stereo
playback speakers hidden behind acoustically transparent fabric
for superior sound quality.
A 12" diameter rotating acrylic globe complete with decals indicating
all John Deere sites and suspended satellites add eye-catching
motion and help demonstrate the International presence of John
Deere. Below the globe, ERM incorporated a glass shelf trophy
case to display AMS product recognition awards from AE50 and the
Institute of Navigation (ION). The trophy case is lit from the
top with recessed low voltage puck lighting.
Actual product including a StarFire Receiver™ and GreenStar® Display
unit are physically mounted to the right side of the display for
that "hands on" approach. The StarFire sits atop of a 30" x 38"graphic
depicting the state of the art technology in use. Literature is
available directly below in built in shelves.
The display is topped off with a 13" tall x 147" long back lit
header mounted on 1/8" plexi with the John Deere logo spotlighted,
and a giant custom made satellite mounted to the ceiling. The
display unit is approximately 4' deep and has an easy open locking
hinged door for additional marketing material storage. All lights
and AV equipment are hard wired for a one-stop click to put the
display into action.
"With the team effort from Exhibit Resources Midwest and AVI Systems,
we were able create a unique look but at an affordable cost."
says Pedrotty.
The system communicates the John Deere philosophy of providing
innovative technology and solutions.
"Farmer customers require more complete business solutions in
order to remain competitive, reduce input costs, and increase
efficiency. John Deere Ag Management Solutions offers practical
management solutions based around customer needs and business
practices."
