20' x 20' Island Display |
It all began with an incoming phone call from an unknown prospect
asking for help in designing a 20' x 20' island display rental
for the upcoming ITEC (Iowa Technology Showcase) Show. A client
had referred the Marketing Manager from eServ to ERM. eServ had
put together a sketch of their ideas. After looking it over, Bob
Ensley, President, had an idea-if the timing was right, for a
dramatic, more expensive look that stayed within budget.
Several years ago, ERM had designed a booth with similar objectives
(efficient use of floor space with a dominating presence). In
the past year the company had been bought and moved out of state.
They no longer needed the booth. It's not unusual for used exhibits
to be discarded or sold for pennies on the dollar. The time was
right for this project. The structure met eServ's needs. ERM went
to work. Very little refurbishing was required. The 16' height
provided a dramatic setting for eServ to market its corporate
identity and dominate the show landscape. The initial structure
of the used display remained unchanged. ERM designer, Matt Scott,
created new banners and graphics to reflect company services.
The eServ booth was the hit of the ITEC show. It became the "landmark"
exhibit, used as a reference point in maneuvering around the show.
The best comment of the show came when Pat Sherman, VP of Sales,
visited the show and observed "What did we have to do to have
the best booth at the show?" It all started with a phone call
to Exhibit Resources Midwest.
